About a month ago, I ran into a young man named John in the Bush’s Chicken parking lot here in Central Texas. 

The Holy Spirit highlighted him to me across the street as he came into the parking lot. I shared the gospel with him and proceeded to go deeper with him as he was going through a really tough time. He opened his heart to me about what had been going on in his life with his girlfriend and his parents. The Holy Spirit came upon him as I prayed over him and he was really touched.

Right when I was done praying over him, a woman in the drive-through at Bush’s Chicken waved her hand out the window of her car and yelled for us to come over to her. Turns out she was a solid believer and was so touched by what she had seen that she offered us a $20 Bush’s Chicken gift card, where immediately I was able to sit down with John over some chicken at Bush’s and go deeper into the word of God and hear more of his life story.

Ever since then, John and I have been in contact over the phone and I pick him and his friend up from time to time to bring them to church service. As the body of Christ, we are to live a lifestyle of hearing God’s voice looking for opportunities to share, and with the deep conviction of making disciples as Jesus  commanded us to do in Matthew 28:18-20.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

As a result, we will see miraculous things happen and bear much fruit…fruit that remains!”
